At Thomas Dewar Sziranyi Letts we have one of the largest family
law practices in New Zealand and we believe this gives our clients
three key advantages:
Specialist Knowledge
No two family problems are the same. One client may wish to
relocate overseas with their children and the other parent objects.
Another may be separating and wishes to divide interests
in a family trust or a multimillion dollar business. Members
of our family law team are working at resolving family law issues
every day, whether through proceedings or negotiation. Because
of this, we have each developed particular areas of expertise and
that expertise is available to assist other lawyers in the team and
their clients as required.
Teamwork
If one lawyer is temporarily unavailable because they have other
commitments, other members of our team will take responsibility
for the file and will continue to assist the client or appear in Court.
Cost Effectiveness
We are commited to training new family lawyers every year, and
so our family law team always includes junior and intermediate
lawyers whose hourly rates are less than our more experienced
lawyers. A case may be relatively straightforward, require some
extensive legal research, or have aspects that can be effectively
undertaken by a junior or intermediate lawyer with appropriate
supervision. Utilising the assistance of our junior and intermediate
lawyers in this way helps to ensure that our clients have their legal
work undertaken at very competitive rates.
